If there’s anybody out there reading my irregular blog posts, I just wanted to make it official that I’m going to start regularly making new posts.

Good day.

How to get 99 Woodcutting on RuneScape – NonMembers

Have you ever wondered how people on RuneScape get 99 Woodcutting? Well here’s how.

Step 1: Getting a hatchet-

If you have the money, go to the Grand Exchange in Varrock or the Hatchet Shop in Lumbridge and buy an axe. If you dont want to buy one, go to the chicken coop Northeast of Lumbridge and pick up the bronze hatchet from the tree stump.

Step 2: Cutting regular trees-

Now it is time for you to cut down trees! I recommend going to the wooded area between Lumbridge and Draynor to cut. Make sure that you go buy a steel hatchet once you get 6 Woodcutting and a mithril hatchet once you get 21 Woodcutting. Cut regular trees from levels 1-25.

Step 3: Cutting Oaks-

After getting 25 Woodcutting, cut Oaks. Some good places for NonMembers to cut Oaks are next to the Eastern Varrock bank and right of the Draynor Village bank. Make sure that you go buy an adamant hatchet once you get 31 Woodcutting and a rune hatchet once you get 41 Woodcutting. Cut Oaks from levels 25-45.

Step 4: Cutting Willows-

As you should know already, you can cut willow trees. Go to the spot South of Draynor Village and cut these willow trees from levels 45-75.

Step 5: Cutting Yews-

You can now cut the most expensive tree for NonMembers in RuneScape. Go cut yew trees in one of these four locations:

  • South of Falador
  • Between Lumbridge and Draynor Village
  • Edgeville
  • At the North Wall of Varrock Palace

Cut yew trees until 99 Woodcutting.

Fieldrunners Review

Fieldrunners Logo

There is a game created by Subatomic Studios that was relased for the iPhone and the iPod touch called Fieldrunners. You can buy this application for $4.99 in the Apps store.  Fieldrunners is a strategy game. The idea of the game is to set up weapons on wide open maps to stop little guys and their vehicles from getting across a field to a gate. When you are playing, you can only afford to let 20 people get through the gate. If more than 20 guys get through the gate, it’s game over and you have to start a new game. There are three different modes along with three different difficulties you can play on. There is a classic mode, an extended mode, and an endless mode. And of course, as you might have guessed, the difficulties are easy, medium, and hard.

On Classic mode, you have to get through 100 rounds of enemies trying to get past all of your weapons. The enemies get stronger and there are more of them as you advance in rounds. The four weapons that you can use are the Gatling Tower (a close range and cheap weapon), the Goo Tower (a weapon that shoots out goo to slow down the enemies), the Missile Tower (a death machine that shoots rockets to easier destroy vehicles), and the Lightening Tower (a building that shoots out bolts of electricity that can come to great use in strategies).

On Extended mode, you still have to get through 100 rounds of enemies trying to get past all of your weapons. Only this time, you have more of an advantage, You have six weapons to use instead of just four. You have the same weapons as on Classic mode except for the Flame Tower (a flamethrowing tower that oblitherates all in its path), and the Mortar Tower (a short and fat bomb shooting tower).

Unlike the Extended mode and the Classic mode, Endless mode is a level that goes on until you lose. The name pretty much gave it away before I played it. You might be wondering, “Am I gonna have to do this with the four classic weapons or do I get to use the Flame tower and the Mortar tower too?” My answer to this is, “Yes, you do get to use all six weapons.”

Well now that I’ve given you all the information you need to play the game, buy Fieldrunners. Believe me, It’s fun.

Cirque du Soleil Saltimbanco – Review

From www.CirqueduSoleil.com

At the beginning of March 2009, my brother John bought two tickets to go see Cirque du Soleil Saltimbanco at Freedom Hall in the fairgrounds of Louisville Kentucky. For about two weeks he tried to find a person to go with him. Sadly, he couldn’t find anyone to go with him. The day of show, he came to the livingroom of our house and asked my mom and I to each give him reasons that he should take one of us. It was basically a small contest between my mother and me. After about 15 minutes of each of us giving reasons. I won. My mom said that i would probably have a better time than her and let me go with him.

We got there, waited in line, got to our seats, and the show began. It was full of lots of small acts like bungees, the Artistic Bicylcle, Russian Swing, Duo Trapeze, Beladoras, Adagio, Chinese Poles, Juggling, etc. All of the acts were incredible and some were a little frightening. Each person of the show wore a cool costume. Even these four guys who were the band and played music and funny sounds. My favorite part of the show was probably either the Russian Swing or the the Chinese Poles. I had a great time and I recommend taking your family to go and see this.

Picasa 3 Review

Recently, I started using the photo editing software called Picasa 3. I had a fun time with it and enjoyed it a lot. My rating for this software would be around a 7.8 out of 10. I don’t think that Picasa 3 is as easy to use as Picasa 2, even though it may have more components. I downloaded Picasa 3 from their website, picasa.google.com. Below is a link to the website.

Windows Vista Review

Windows Vista Logo

Windows Vista Logo

About three or four days ago, my brother John bought a new computer for my family and I. It is a Dell Inspiron 530. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor  in it. This computer comes with Windows Vista on it. Surprisingly, he kept it on there. Before he started using Windows Vista, he absolutely hated it, but he decided to try it out on the new computer and likes it a lot now.

A pretty cool thing about Windows Vista is the sidebar. You can set it to show weather, CPU usage, news articles, a clock, and other useful things to put on your desktop. My personal favorite of the sidebar is the weather. It shows the the temperature and has a picture in the background so you can tell if it is snowing, raining, sunny, cloudy, daytime, nighttime, etc.

Another cool thing is flip view. You can set it to where when you click on the flip view icon at the bottom of the screen next to the start button, it will bring up a page showing all the windows you have open. To go to another page, just scroll through and click when the page you want to go to is on the front of the list. It is very useful to me when i have a lot of windows open and can find the one I want to go to. It also shows a picture of the window so that you can tell what page it is.

Another thing you can do is show the desktop screen with the touch of one or two buttons. There are two choices that i know of to go to the desktop easily. One is by holding down the windows button on you key board and pushing the d button. the other way is to click the icon next to the start menu button that looks kind of like the desktop screen.

If you have a rather new computer, Windows Vista starts up in about one minute. That’s good if you need to get on the computer fast. The menus are also different looking, different in a good way. Overall Windows Vista is very satisfying.

October’s Hiking Trip

Tioga Falls - www.LocalHikes.com

Tioga Falls - www.LocalHikes.com

This month my brother John, the creator of this whole website, took me on a hiking trip to Jefferson Memorial Forest in Louisville, Kentucky. We went on the Purple Heart Trail. The Purple Heart Trail is a good trail if you just want to get out in the wilderness for an hour or two. A lot of this trail was uphill, but then again, about the same amount of the trail was downhill. For about3-4 years, John has been taking me on hiking trips when it feels good outside. Look below to see a list of the places John and I have gone hiking at.

  • Tioga Falls (two times)
  • Red River Gorge – Natural Bridge Hiking trail (once)
  • Jefferson Memorial Forest – Purple Heart Trail (once)
  • Charlestown State Park (once)
  • Bernheim Forest (once)
